Rainer Maria Rilke

Plutselig oppdaget jeg en poet som jeg aldri hadde hørt om før. Internett er fint på den måten. Poeten heter Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926) og skriver tydelig om indre liv. Det synes jeg er fint å lese.
«Think, of the world you carry within you, and call this thinking what you will; whether it be remembering your own childhood or yearning toward your own future—only be attentive to that which rises up in you and set it above everything that you observe about you. What goes on in your innermost being is worthy of your whole love; you must somehow keep working at it and not lose too much time and too much courage in clarifying your attitude toward people.»
— Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
I am too alone in the world, and yet not alone enough
to make every hour holy.
I am too small in the world, and yet not tiny enough
just to stand before you like a thing,
dark and shrewd.
I want my will, and I want to be with my will
as it moves towards deed;
and in those quiet, somehow hesitating times,
when something is approaching,
I want to be with those who are wise
or else alone.
«That’s love: Two lonely persons keep each other safe and touch each other and talk to each other.»
Hun har jeg aldri hørt om. Likte spesielt den siste der :)
En av mine favorittpoeter. Så absolutt.
